Dance Unlimited is one of Sheffield’s leading dance schools, offering high-quality dance training in a friendly, welcoming environment where every dancer can feel at home.

From toddlers taking their very first steps into dance to aspiring performers wanting to take their training further – and adults discovering or rediscovering their own love of dance – there really is a place for everyone at DU.

We believe great dance training and a brilliant experience should go hand in hand. Our experienced teaching team are passionate about helping every dancer develop their skills, build confidence, make friends and reach their individual potential, whatever their goals.

Whether you dance once a week for fun or practically live at the studio, we want Dance Unlimited to be somewhere you love to be.

Our Studios

A space designed for dancers and families.

Our home at Archer Road Retail & Leisure Park in Millhouses, Sheffield features four spacious, purpose-built dance studios, creating a professional yet welcoming environment for our dancers to learn and train.

Each studio features professional sprung flooring, mirrors, ballet barres and air conditioning, alongside comfortable waiting areas, an on-site dance shop and plenty of free parking.

With shops, cafés, supermarkets and other amenities right on our doorstep, our location makes life that little bit easier for busy dance families too.

Most importantly, we’ve created a space that feels welcoming from the moment you walk through the door – somewhere dancers can learn, grow, make friends and feel completely at home.

Meet the Team

The people behind Dance Unlimited

Great dance schools are built by great people.

Our team brings together experienced teachers, professional performers, qualified dance educators and a brilliant support team, all with different backgrounds, specialisms and experience.

What they share is a genuine passion for helping our dancers learn, progress and love being part of Dance Unlimited.

Becky Adams

Founder & Director

Becky began dancing at the age of nine before going on to train professionally at The Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, graduating with Distinction from her three-year Musical Theatre Diploma.

Alongside her professional training, Becky gained her IDTA teaching qualifications with Honours and went on to work professionally as a dancer in the UK and abroad. After several years performing and teaching, Becky realised that teaching was where her real passion lay. In 2013, Dance Unlimited was born.

What began as Becky’s vision for a dance school combining brilliant training with a warm, positive and forward-thinking approach has grown into the thriving DU community it is today. Becky remains closely involved in the direction of the school, its programmes and its dancers, and is passionate about continually developing DU while holding onto the sense of community at its heart.

Miss Nikki

Studio Manager

Nikki has danced from a young age and holds a Foundation Degree in Dance Performance and a degree in Performing Arts Industries.

As our Studio Manager, Nikki is a huge part of the day-to-day running of DU, supporting our dancers, families and team and helping to keep everything at DU running smoothly. Bringing plenty of enthusiasm, creativity and energy to everything she does, Nikki is an invaluable part of the Dance Unlimited team

Miss Lottie

Tots & Minis Programme Director & Teacher

Lottie is our Tots & Minis Programme Director, leading our youngest dancers through their very first experiences at Dance Unlimited, alongside teaching a range of classes including Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Commercial, Acro and Adult classes.

Having danced from a young age, Lottie continued her training at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and holds IDTA Level 4 teaching qualifications in Ballet and Contemporary Modern Jazz.

Throughout her training, Lottie has performed in theatres, competitions and on the main stage at Disneyland Paris, as well as performing alongside Diversity.

Lottie is passionate about creating a positive and encouraging environment where dancers can develop their technique, grow in confidence and discover their own love of dance. She particularly loves seeing students progress and become confident enough to express themselves through movement.

Miss Emily

Core Programme Lead

Originally from Sheffield, Emily trained professionally at Performers College in Essex, developing her skills across a wide range of dance styles and working with leading teachers and choreographers.

Since graduating, Emily has gained professional performance experience alongside developing her career as a teacher and is now our Core Programme Lead at Dance Unlimited.
Emily brings fantastic energy, knowledge and enthusiasm to her classes and is passionate about helping dancers develop their technique, confidence and love of performing.

Miss Leah

Performance Team, Accelerate & Company Programme Lead Enrolment Coordinator

Leah leads our Performance Team, Accelerate and Company programmes, playing a key role in the training, development and performance opportunities of our dancers across Dance Unlimited.

With extensive professional experience across stage and screen, Leah’s credits include several pantomimes at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre, UK tours of Annie, Half a Sixpence, Dr Dolittle, Jekyll & Hyde and The King and I, alongside television campaigns, corporate performances and voiceover work.
Leah has been teaching and assisting dancers from a young age and brings a wealth of professional performance experience into the studio. Her warm, approachable teaching style, combined with high expectations and a brilliant eye for performance, helps dancers build confidence, develop their skills and get the very best from themselves.

Miss Levi

Teacher & Parties and Camps Coordinator

Levi began dancing at the age of three and discovered her love of teaching early, becoming a student teacher at just 15.

She went on to train professionally at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks, developing her skills across a wide range of dance styles, before gaining her IDTA Associate teaching qualification, specialising in Modern Jazz.

Alongside teaching, Levi is our Parties & Camps Coordinator, helping to create and organise the fun-filled holiday camps, parties and special events that take place throughout the year at DU.

Levi brings plenty of energy and creativity to everything she does, creating a positive and supportive environment where dancers can develop their skills, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy dancing

Miss Amelia

Teacher

Amelia is a versatile member of our teaching team, teaching a wide range of dance styles and age groups across Dance Unlimited.
Having grown up with a love of dance, Amelia discovered that her real passion lies in teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers.

She particularly loves Acro and enjoys helping dancers master new skills, challenge themselves and experience that brilliant feeling when something they’ve been working towards finally clicks.
A highlight of Amelia’s own dance journey was earning a place in the Miss Dance Final, surrounded by her dance family and biggest supporter, her mum.
Amelia brings warmth, enthusiasm and plenty of encouragement to her classes and loves seeing her students grow in confidence, develop their skills and, most importantly, enjoy dancing.

Miss Charlotte

Teacher

Charlotte has danced from the age of three, training across a range of styles, completing IDTA examinations and developing her love of teaching through assisting classes from a young age.

Alongside her career in Higher Education, Charlotte has continued to make dance a big part of her life and has been teaching at Dance Unlimited for many years. She particularly loves working with our younger dancers and bringing plenty of fun, encouragement and laughter to their classes.
Charlotte has also enjoyed performing throughout her dance journey, with one of her favourite experiences being appearing in the Sheffield Lyceum Pantomime.
Having grown up with some of her happiest memories centred around dance, Charlotte loves being able to create those same experiences for the next generation of dancers at DU.

Miss Leanna

Teacher & Front Desk

Leanna has danced from a young age and went on to train professionally at Ballet Theatre UK and Addict Dance Academy, developing her skills across a wide range of dance styles.

Her professional career then took her around the world, performing onboard Royal Caribbean cruise ships, gaining invaluable experience as a professional dancer while travelling and performing internationally.
Now back in Sheffield, Leanna combines teaching at Dance Unlimited with working as part of our Reception team, supporting our dancers and families both inside and outside the studio.
Leanna is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where dancers can develop strong technique and confidence while maintaining a healthy relationship with dance and their bodies.
Her own experiences throughout her training and professional career have shaped the teacher she is today, and she loves helping every student feel encouraged, valued and able to enjoy their dancing.

Miss Daisy

Teacher

A true homegrown DU talent, Daisy began dancing at Dance Unlimited as a young child and grew up training, performing and competing as part of the school before returning to share her experience with the next generation of DU dancers.

Alongside her training at Dance Unlimited, Daisy was selected as a Northern Ballet Associate for three years and received eight consecutive nominations for the IDTA Theatre Awards, winning the Theatre Craft Grades Award in 2019 and later becoming runner-up in the Modern Jazz Performers category.
Daisy has built an incredible professional career across stage and screen. Her theatre credits include Veruca Salt in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the West End, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s UK tour of Matilda and, most recently, Posy Fossil in the National Theatre’s Ballet Shoes, for which she received a Stage Debut Award nomination for Best Performer in a Play.
Her screen work includes Belgravia: The Next Chapter, Embers, Ruby and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Having gone from being a little dancer in our studios to establishing a successful professional career of her own, Daisy brings a wealth of real industry experience back to DU and loves inspiring our dancers to develop their confidence, individuality and love of performing.

Miss Kirsty

Teacher

Kirsty trained from a young age across a wide range of styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Freestyle and Gymnastic Dance, completing her training through the IDTA.

During her early performing career, Kirsty toured as part of a show team, performing at venues including Her Majesty’s Theatre in London and the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. She later went on to work professionally overseas, securing dance contracts in destinations including Greece, Spain and Morocco.
Kirsty is also a qualified Acrobatic Arts teacher and now brings her training and professional experience into her classes at Dance Unlimited, specialising in Acro, Street and Commercial.
Her energetic and encouraging teaching style helps dancers develop their technique, build confidence and enjoy challenging themselves in class.

Eve

Front Desk

A familiar face at DU, Eve has been part of the Dance Unlimited family for many years, having trained with us across a range of styles, completed IDTA examinations and performed and competed as a DU dancer.

Alongside her dance training, Eve has gained performance experience through professional and community theatre, including appearing in the Chesterfield Pantomime and productions of Gypsy, Nativity and Barnum.
Now part of our Front Desk team, Eve brings her first-hand knowledge of Dance Unlimited to her role, helping to welcome and support our dancers and families and keep everything running smoothly at the studio.

Miss Mel

Social Media Coordinator & Accelerate Associate Teacher

Mel trained at Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance, following earlier training with Center Pointe and Northern Ballet Associates. At 18, she was named All England Young Modern Dancer of the Year 2015 and runner-up Young Ballet Dancer of the Year.

After moving to London to train professionally at Rambert, Mel worked with world-renowned choreographers and graduated with a First Class Honours degree. She went on to join the Richard Alston Dance Company, performing at Sadler’s Wells in London and internationally at the Virginia Arts Festival in the USA.
Now based in London, Mel continues to be a key part of the DU team as our Social Media Coordinator, working remotely to bring everything happening at Dance Unlimited to life across our social channels.
She also regularly returns to Sheffield as an Associate Teacher for our Accelerate programme, delivering specialist Contemporary training and sharing her wealth of professional experience with our dancers.

Miss Lauren

Contemporary Teacher

Lauren is a professional Dance Artist, Choreographer and Contemporary teacher based in Sheffield. She trained at LABAN in London, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance,

and has since worked with professional artists and choreographers including Gary Clarke, Lea Anderson, Lisa Torun and Gary Lambert. Lauren has performed, taught and choreographed in productions across the UK and internationally and brings a wealth of professional experience into her teaching at Dance Unlimited.
Specialising in Contemporary technique, Lauren’s classes draw on Cunningham, Graham and release-based styles, helping dancers develop strength, coordination, flexibility, musicality and freedom of movement.
With extensive experience teaching children, young people and adults of all abilities and backgrounds, Lauren creates engaging and challenging classes that encourage dancers to explore movement, develop their individual style and grow in confidence.

Miss Jess

Teacher

Jess trained professionally at Addict Dance Academy, developing her skills across a wide range of dance styles before going on to work professionally within the industry.

Her performing career has taken her around the world as a professional dancer onboard cruise ships, giving her a wealth of performance and industry experience to bring back into the studio.
Jess first became part of the DU team through our holiday camps and cover teaching before joining us as a regular member of the teaching faculty.
She brings plenty of energy and enthusiasm to her classes and loves helping dancers develop their technique, confidence and performance skills while creating a positive environment where they can challenge themselves and enjoy their training.

Miss Caitlin

Teacher

Caitlin began dancing at the age of four, training in Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Commercial at Tu Danse Studios in Peterborough, where she also discovered her love of teaching.

Throughout her training, Caitlin gained a wealth of performance experience, including performing at Disneyland Paris and the Adelphi Theatre in London, appearing in several pantomimes and dancing as part of a competition team.
Alongside teaching dance, Caitlin is currently studying for a degree in Primary Education, further developing her knowledge and experience of working with children.
With several years of teaching experience, Caitlin has worked with dancers preparing for competitions, shows, exams and performances and brings plenty of energy, encouragement and positivity to her classes at DU.

Miss Lucie

Teacher & Accelerate Associate Teacher

Lucie began her dance journey at the Marilyn Baker School of Dance before continuing her training with Northern Ballet Theatre Associates and the Central School of Ballet.

She went on to enjoy an extensive professional performing career, dancing around the world and working as Dance Captain onboard luxury cruise ships.
Lucie is a Fellow of the IDTA and also holds a teaching diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Since 2019, she has worked with the Royal Ballet School’s Primary Steps programme, helping to inspire and develop young dancers.
At Dance Unlimited, Lucie teaches across our programmes and delivers specialist Ballet and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) training as part of our Accelerate Associate programme, bringing an incredible depth of professional and teaching experience to our dancers.

Miss Emily

Cover Teacher

Another of our homegrown DU dancers, Emily grew up training at Dance Unlimited and has now returned to the studios as part of our teaching team

Alongside her training at DU, Emily performed with English Youth Ballet and trained with Cecchetti Ballet Associates at KS Dance. She also spent time living in Spain, where she continued her dance training at La Danse Professional in Málaga.
Emily currently studies at the University of Nottingham, where she continues to dance competitively in Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz.
Having experienced DU herself as a student, Emily loves being back in the studio inspiring the next generation of dancers and sharing the same love of dance that began here for her.

Miss Izzy

Cover Teacher

Izzy has been part of Dance Unlimited for many years, beginning as a young DU dancer before going on to become a member of our teaching team.
Alongside her training at DU, Izzy studied at CAPA College, developing her skills across dance and performance before progressing to professional training.

Throughout her dance journey, Izzy has achieved multiple IDTA Theatre Award nominations, receiving her first at just 11 years old and later reaching the final. She also placed 6th in the IDTA Global Lockdance Festival and performed for two seasons in the Sheffield Lyceum Pantomime.
Her performance experience includes appearing on the main stage at MOVE IT and Can You Dance?, dancing alongside Layton Williams and Kerry Ellis at Musical Con, and performing as Victoria the White Cat in Cats as part of CAPA’s Amplify Arts Festival.
Izzy is now continuing her professional training at Urdang in London, having received degree offers from all five performing arts universities she applied to.
Having experienced DU as both a dancer and teacher, Izzy has a lovely connection with our younger students and continues to share her experience with the next generation whenever she’s back in Sheffield.

Schools have shifted heavily toward common core subjects, like reading and maths, and often leave out the arts. Although some believe art education is a luxury, its simple, creative activities are essential building blocks of child development. Our experienced and passionate teachers combine excellent technical training with classes that dancers genuinely look forward to attending.

Our pathways including Performance Team, Accelerate and Company also give dancers the option to take their training and performance experience further when they’re ready.
